See new photosgraphs of Lilyan on her new WEBSITE and check back weekly to see the many new and exciting pages now on their way.
We are in the process of collecting multi media tributes to Lilyan. Media considered will include an mp3 of your voice with a comment, message or tribute. Other creative possibilities include instrumentals, songs and poetry. Additional media formats will be included as collected and developed.
Memorabilia such as orginal prints of Lilyan's headshots will be made available along with the last remaining publications of her books, videos and audio tapes.

On this Day of Tribute
Seating began in the main theatre with the heavenly music of the live harp by Ellie Choate.
The ceremony began with an opening prayer and personal tribute by Pastor Sam Hodson.
A touching eulogy and personal tribute was delivered by Linda Gray.
Danny Durant and Jean Paul Vignon performed a duet, "La Vie en Rose".

Mark Boals and Ellie Chaote performed a duet, "The Lords Prayer"
Sally Stringer delivered a personal tribute with a special story and letter.
There was a multimedia presentation including the Premiere of "Celebration of Life".
The theatre was filled with love and support in celebration of Lilyan's life and accomplisments.
We have received 100's of emails from her friends, students, colleagues and family members and they continue to come in.

Lilyan's illness and passing has come as a shock to many people including some of her closest friends and students because she never wanted anyone to know that she was ill. She set a profound example of strength and courage by continuing to teach and work as an actress and director despite her suffering through years of chemotherapy.
In honor of Lilyan's life, her treasured memories and those whom she loved her website will be under continued care and production for quite some time. Announcements regarding special features, the availability of Lilyan's courses, etc. will be posted here.
As part of her legacy, personal tributes to Lilyan, loving stories and photographs of Lilyan are welcome and encouraged. Family, friends and supporters are welcome to be linked to this website. Archival clips and from Lilyan's work are also welcome.

Tips:
I seen this happen to many students in my classes with Lilly, including Myself. If you were delivering a serious scene and you scrunched/wrinkled your forehead up while delivering your lines she'd say: " Stop wrinkling up your forehead". If you did it again, she would make you wear scotch tape on your forehead for the rest of the class. That sure broke that habit and fast!!!

Lilyan was my first acting coach in LA. I was straight out of Chicago and had a very bad habit of saying the word "anyways." Lilyan would say in her wonderfully authoritative French accent "give me a quarter." In frustration, I would give her a quarter and say "well, anyways..." followed by Lilyan's "give me another quarter!" Needless to say, after making a sizable contribution to the Children's Hospital, I realized that I not only used the word incorrectly, but OVERUSED the word. Not only is the habit corrected, but I am annoyed to hear other people say "anyways." Goes to show that with observation and persistence, bad habits can be changed! It also underlines the fact that good acting involves self-awareness, as well as the capacity to shape who you are before shaping your craft.

In Lilyan's WIF directing workshops this is a phrase she repeated often. She was an exquisite teacher and person. As a mentor and a role model she was the brightest beacon I ever encountered.

"That's going to cost you a quarter!"
She kept piggy bank and donated the money she collected to Children's Hospital.
